if only i was karen carpenter
and it's not often that i find myself saying that but i refer to paula's blog suggesting that the karaoke element of our christmas party might have been my idea...if only.
i always end up singing an octave below everyone else - and were i to duet on a carpenter's classic then i 'd have to do richard's crooning backing vocals rather than karen's luscious solos and to be honest the world would be a better place without attempting either.
i did once sing live on the radio - i think it was Islands in the Stream - it was late at night and on a medium wave station renowned for it's enticing combination of news and sport. i hope no one has a recording. money is available if you do. it was not the highlight of my career.
so i shall be keeping very quiet at our christmas party but i am happy to report back, with photos, as to how other members of the team do. i've got a feeling that paula is a bit of a dark horse.......
love and hugs to you all

Complain about this postgreat show, sets me up for the day, love the quick wit and feet on the ground humour, pity about the abysmal effort re christmas lights, hope the party is momentous.
Regards and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year
