Here they are. Led Bib. Stars of last week's Upshares. Oh and nominees for the Mercury Music Prize tonight.
Nigel Wrench writes: "Taking a breather from a stifling rehearsal studio on an industrial estate in Walthamstow, East London, this is the not-so-glamorous life of a Mercury Prize-nominated band. are the outsiders for the prize, awarded tonight.
They play what some have called "punk jazz". It's loud and a little anarchic, as you might have heard last week in their contribution to Upshares Downshares.
That's Chris Williams with the saxophone, drummer Mark Holub and bassist Liran Donin. The full band has five members. Mr Donin believes they can beat off the top ten hits of the likes of Kasabian and Florence And The Machine to win.
It's the Mercury Prize, final decision by the jury usually made on the night, so you never know."
