Meet the commissioners, view the terms of reference and hear the Commission Chair Sir Michael Lyons explain his approach.
I meant to comment last night. I think that Eddie excelled his very high standards with the Landgirl interview. He brought her out so patiently and respectfully. Thank you also for giving Hilda plenty of time to fully express herself. Thank you Eddie!
Facebook. A sort of diary in which people write down what they think and feel for the benefit of those they know, and presumably don't notice that if they don't set up the privacy rules properly it can also be read by scads of people they don't know at all?
If somebody (say their mother, or their rival for a partner or a position in the office hierarchy) were to read their diary they would be scandalised and horrified at the breach of their privacy.
Do any of the people who write for facebook ever wonder whether perhaps their mother might be reading what they write, or know how to find out whether she is? Not to mention their pet unfriend at the school or office?
It's funny how little sympathy I can work up for those who complain that things they have posted in a forum that is essentially open to all are not read only by people they know and trust.
