Once more with feeling...

Sequin | 10:36 UK time, Friday, 2 November 2007

I just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed conversing with you and sharing your views over the past three weeks. Thank you for being so welcoming, as always.

Sir Ed - for surely, like Bruce Forsyth he should have been knighted by now - will be back foraging in the cocktail cabinet from Monday. Rupert and the Blog Prince have been busy working on his new iPM programme which starts on Saturday 10th as you no doubt know, so I'm looking forward to hearing you all take part.

Sequin, thanks for a lovely fortnight, and for frolicking with us here on the Blog. Good luck with your chocolate fast (better than fast chocolate, I guess!)

As to a knighthood for Mr. Mair, I think you are probably in line for a sainthood. Do the 91Èȱ¬ pass on these recommendations to the Vatican d'you think?

Enjoy your Friday, and - more importantly - a well earned rest at the weekend.

    Yours in sisterhood

Ah! The 404 barrier has been breached!

Carolyn, I'm sure I speak for many when I say you're loved and appreciated here. There isn't anyone else who could join into the spirit and style of the programme.

You make it your own without appropriating it - a considerable talent.

It's been great having you again - in the non-Biblical sense... Of course

Talking of the Bible, Jesus, we're informed, turned water into wine

Well, what goes around, comes around. but, only in America:

"Scientists at the University of Illinois have discovered a new way to make water... Not only can they make water from unlikely starting materials, such as alcohols..."

Huh, like, there's going to be a demand for that...

why not change the lock on the cocktail cabinet as a parting gesture?

Fingers crossed you get some r'n'r soon - don't forget there's a very comfy hammock on the beach and you don't have to work here to use it!

Carolyn, it's been lovely having you here on the blog with us as well as on PM. I hope you survive the chocolate fast, I'm sure you'll make it as I reckon you must have iron self-discipline anyway, to get out of bed for the Today programme. Anyone who can get up for work at 3 am has my sincerest admiration.

I hope you have a restful Saturday, (though I suppose pain au chocolat is off the breakfast menu) & look forward to hearing you back on The Westminster Hour.
