On the programme, one of our political correspondents will be out testing how much the public recognise people like Nick Clegg, Chris Huhne, Steve Webb and the rest. They're Lib Dem leadership contenders - or at least expected to be. Could you pick them out in a crowd?
More seriously, and picking up on the themes about ageism we were discussing yesterday, Vince Cable (64) has ruled himself out of the race. He says " an older candidate is not electable because of the "irrational prejudice" shown towards Sir Menzies over his age. What is the cut-off age for a politician then?
So who is who?

We don't recognise prominent personnel amongst the Lib Dems or smaller parties, because the media including radio 4 never fail to focus on two sparring parties. Lib Dems are only given attention when there's a leadership difficulty, never on the creation or articulation of a raft of constructive policies

It was nice to see the word FAT being used on the newsletter. I was thinking only this morning that nobody is FAT any more but OBESE instead.

But I also have a point about Minyiz Campbell - I don’t think his actual age was the main factor, but how old he looks. Plus the inevitable media-stirs-up-minor-story aspect.
Well, I recognise Julia Goldsworthy on the top row, alongside Chris Huhne. Nick Clegg and Susan Kramer are on the bottom row, but I don't know who the two on the middle row are....

But I have some thoughts on the Minyiz Campbell resignation, too. I don’t think his age was actually the issue, so much as how old he looks - and of course allowing for the way the media promoted this ‘story’ beyond its minor status.
