Hope your having a good festive period Nick. I herd the interesting Humphrys/Blunkett interview and agreed with much of what Humphrys said. It's always rather puzzeled me why folk are forever having a pop at the likes of Humphrys and Paxman. The 91Èȱ¬ caters for a range of auidences and if the public do not like the agressive style of Humphrys or Paxman that can find alternative interviews on say Radio 5 Live or 91Èȱ¬ Breakfast or switch to GMTV etc. I for one am a huge fan of Paxman and Humphrys and it's interesting that many of the public in survey's wished they were even more aggressive. The truth is that many Politicans come onto these shows well briefed by Party HQ and are happy to sit there for 10 minutes saying the party line does not really make for interesting listening or viewing?

As for Blair and Brown running the country they never did.
It is the faceless mandrins in Whitehall that do and always have.
No doubt that sinister Bush has his finger in the pie as well.

Humphrys' performance in the Blunkett interview will be good training material for potential internviewees!
