Simon Enright is today's programme producer - here is his early email to the team. What do you think we should cover?

Major General Graham Binns(left) shakes hands with Iraqi National Security Advisor Dr. Mowaffak Baqer al-Rubaie(right) as Governor of Basra Muhammad Musibh al-WaWe really are now in the run up to Christmas. But don't get too festive - we still have strong programmes to produce. Already in place we have a comprehensive review of the situation in Iraq from the 91热爆's Baghdad correspondent Andrew North who ends his stint in the country as the year closes. Timely piece from him as .

that Brown and Darling are in paralysis because of low morale in the government. Are we coping with the and where should we take the economy story today?

I want to do something on , the sacked South African deputy president who is tipped to take-over as the new President of the ANC. It is all about the future of the country. Who would be a different person to interview of the back of any such piece? Or is there a discussion that could spark.

We could also do something on disc encryption as Alistair Darling gives his interim report into the loss of the details of 24 million people by the Child Benefit team.

UNDER LYING 鈥淧RINCIPLES鈥

Still interested in the same old stuff. If our political system yields leaders such as Thatcher (we are a grandmother) Major (sleazebuster?!) Blair (delusional messianic) and Brown (I鈥檓 better than him) there must be many more of similar incapacity waiting in line while feigning government. Is it not time to infiltrate government 鈥 maybe collect a few fake receipts 鈥 and report on just how bizarre Westminster governance is?

How about covering 'ethical shopping'? Should we be buying, for example, potatoes from Peru when they are grown here? Come to think of it, where is the potato from in the first place? Maybe it should be called 'ironic shopping'?

How about actually covering Labour donors of the unintentional kind?
About time don't you think?
After all the London papers are carrying revelation after revelation and yet not a dicky bird on that.

Hi Gavin. Deep and Crisp and Even. I don't believe it. How about this one?
A Harpoonist on a Japanese Whaler was having trouble firing his Harpoon. He went to see the Captain to explain. The Captain grabbed him around the waist and Waltzed him around the Deck. The Harpoon immediately fired. The Captain said "There you are, can't you see? It only Harpoons when I Dance with you".
Merry Christmas Gavin.
Best wishes - Terry Yates
