A 50/50 response this morning to the news dog owners might have to pay third party insurance for their pooches.

Here's a selection of today's comments. Jill texted:

"Anything that poses a danger to innocent people should need insurance cover including dogs, mobility scooters etc."

Dave emailed:

"Do you really think the people who let their dogs run wild will really bother with insurance?"

Jan from North Nibley made the point that if you are a member of the Dog's Trust you get third party insurance.

So what do you think about this one? Let me know your thoughts. And whilst we're talking about control over dogs, if anyone can offer any advice for me on how to get an over-excited lurcher puppy to come back to me when she's being too playful with another dog - please help!
