Tuesday's Quote of the Day
"The food looks good, but has no smell and almost no taste and is not very nourishing" - Spanish aristocrat Luisa de Carvajal takes a dim view of London food in 1605

Her letters home have been translated for the first time and she complains about the English habit of roasting everything or putting it in pastry.
