Hello, Dom here.

First it was that big fire at Buncefield which popped our airing cupboard door open, now there's EATHQUAKE HELL!

Just before 1am this morning I was awoken by the sound of shaking radiators (good name for a band). It turns out this wasn't our boiler packing up, it was a proper full-on earthquake!

Please tell me your earthquake stories. There is no prize available for the best one.

Thankfully we all made it through okay. Here's to no more tremor action in 2008.

I have an earthquake story.. it happened whilst i was on a working holiday in greece, and the quake was over a seven on the richterscale, so it was pretty mental. we get tiny quakes there all the time, but mostly i just put it down to the regular hangovers that come with being a bartender in greece. ANYWAY it was in the middle of the night and all the tourists ran out of their hotells and into the streets crying and screaming, like it was armageddon or something, pretty freaky!! The Italians were the worst, jumped into their cars and after a couple of hour the roads were jammed with italians and their RV's, sooo funny, they couldnt get anywhere because there were fallen trees and rocks blocking the road.

I guess the reason i find it more funny than scary is that no one were really hurt, since it was at 5 in the morning, plus my dear friend and co-worker, swedish John, was so drunk he slept through the whole thing :) he woke up twelve hours later wondering why we were almost the only people left on the island :)

I just wanted to comment on..

"....(good name for a band)..."..

..because I say that all the time and people think I'm mental!

And yes, Shaking Radiators is indeed a good name for a band.

"Earthquake Hell!"

Hahahaha!!

Hi Dom, do you know that there's an award-winning Japanese novel which is currently made into tv drama, about stopping the giant catfish below the seabed from flipping around in order to save the world from earthquakes and the doom? Probably you should do something to stop whatever is moving under there!

My electric toothbrush fell off a shelf in the bathroom. It's taken me days to get over this. I've sent a letter to The Mail to see if they can do something about it.

I was in my flat, about 5 miles from Buncefield (which incidentally, I slept through), when the earthquake hit.

I had not long put my head down, and was basically just asleep when the earthquake struck. At first, I thought somebody had come into my room and was climbing onto or shaking the bed. Then I realised that it was just an earthquake, and was calm again.

I woke up hearing the noise thinking that the garage door motor was playing up as that too shakes the bedroom (above the garage). So woke hubbie up, who thought that the bed shaking was me kicking the bed frame - how bloody rude!
