Paul Jowsey is a Geordie who decided not to follow his dad's footsteps into running the family shop, he found the lure of his mum's out-of-hours career far more captivating.
As a kid he remembers the swish of her high-class frocks and the scent of her perfume as she left for the evening to become a whole new persona. Mum by day, she was Sheila Rayne by night - a singer on the Northern entertainment circuit.
When Paul grew up he discovered a talent as a female impersonator. Now as he makes a living at it. He wears more make up than his mum and his dresses are certainly more flamboyant. See for yourself in Monday's Inside Out.
