I was inspired to create this design by the exciting traditional dresses worn by Mexican girls. These include capped sleeves, a gathered waist, and are usually based on white linen fabric. I have tried to incorporate these features into my design. My choice of colour scheme was prompted by the contrasting colours of the Mexican flag.
