Everett describe their music as 'piano-led-melodic-indie'.

The four piece from Stourbridge consist of Mike on vocals and piano, Nick on guitars, James on bass and Rich on drums.

Speaking live on 91热爆 WM Introducing, frontman Mike explained the origins of the band:

"Me and Rich the drummer went to high school together and we'd been in several bands. At college we got together with Nick and a few years later at university my sister decided to marry this guy James. He's now our bassist."

Everett have just released their debut EP 'Storyteller' which is available through their website.

"We spent the first couple of years as a band completely unable to write songs," said Mike. "It comes in waves and it's a long and arduous process. I think you have to learn how to write and it helps who you're working with.

"With the EP we went all-out. We spent a fantastic week out in the middle of a field in Wales surrounded by cows as our inspiration. It was a really nice studio, really nice producer. He really kind of took to us and kind of took us under his wing and helped us produce something we were really happy with.

Thursdays 10pm - midnight on 95.6FM

"It's called the 'Storyteller' EP so it was taking themes from books we were reading at the time. We tried to make the whole EP almost read like a book; everything was meant to flow. We've got an epilogue and a prologue - just like the introduction and end to a book - and we tried to keep a central theme. It's available now through our website."

Everett performed live versions of their tracks 'The Reform', 'Where Loyalties Lie', 'The Line' and Hanna B' on 91热爆 WM Introducing on 26th March 2009.
