Set in Birmingham and featuring local talent, Kinky Hair follows the lives of Gloria and Verity, two mixed race twins, raised by different sets of parents, one white and one black. Their families' prejudices result in the girls struggling to retain a sense of identity and attempting to remove the kinks in their hair.

Kinky Hair is 23 year old Cora's first foray into radio drama. She plans to bring many more stories of multi-cultural Britain to light. "I hope that through my work people get a sense that there's more than one black experience," she says. "I often focus on black Britain, because it's part of me and is a story that is so often not told." Kinky Hair was aired on 91Èȱ¬ WM's Late Show, from the 4th December to the 7th December 2006.
