The 2006 appeal was launched at the Express Cafe in Wolverhampton city centre on听 Monday 20 November 2006. Phil Upton presented his 91热爆 WM Breakfast Show from the cafe and accepted toy donations from listeners. Jo from Willenhall was among the listeners who visited the cafe to hand over her donations to the appeal. The toys were donated at the insistence of Jo's daughter Hannah, a student at Heath Park Business and Enterprise College.

Last year more than 180,000 toys were collected - meaning that there were over 180,000 happy children, thanks to the support of the 91热爆 WM listeners. The first toys of the 2006 appeal were donated at the Birmingham City v Wolves match at St Andrews on Saturday 18th November. There will be many more opportunities to donate - 91热爆 WM will be collecting toys at local football matches and shopping centres across the Black Country and Birmingham in November and December. The donation deadline is Monday 18th December.
