Communicating
faith through drama |

Saltmine
Theatre Company are a full time professional Christian theatre company
dedicated to communicating their faith through innovative and engaging
drama. |

Four
actors (Laura, Serena, Joel and Richard) form the core of the Saltmine
Theatre Company - they are occasionally supplemented by freelance
actors hired for specific productions.
The four core members generate the majority of their material themselves
through writing and devising. All of the actors are deeply committed
to the Christian message and this infuses their work.
The theatre group seek to put their message across with humour and
energy.
'33 Not Out!'
Their new show ‘33 Not Out!’ is a comedy cabaret style performance
which tells the story of the life of Jesus, from his miraculous birth
to his resurrection.
It's a fast moving (and very funny!) story that focuses on the lesser
known elements and characters of the gospel, from the Rich Dude, to
Joseph of Arimathea’s annoyed wife!
The audience also witness the fastest ever service of nine lessons
and carols (it takes about seven and a half minutes and includes talking
sheep!). Also meet the wine waitresses at a restaurant who are surprised
by the seemingly endless supply of wine, and the bamboozled bureaucrat
struggling to cope with the idea of virgin birth!
‘33 Not Out!’ is a richly rewarding and varied show at turns hilarious,
musical and moving.

They also perform in schools and prisons and are in the process of
writing an anti-drugs play based on the life of Leah Betts, in collaboration
with the Betts family.
