Cayte - finger on the pulse

Cayte can be heard on 91热爆 WM every weekday morning from 6.30am - 10am on the Phil Upton @ Breakfast Show.

She helps get the West Midlands safely to and from their destinations during the early rush, bringing you detailed traffic reports every 15 minutes.

On Thursdays Cayte is live from the Highways Agency, keeping her finger on the pulse of the local road and rail networks.

"I was a late starter," she says. "I was 26 when I found a love of traffic broadcasting at AA Roadwatch. After two years there I was given the chance to present the Early Show on 91热爆 WM (that Mollie Green now presents).

"I always had the advice of the managing editor ringing in my ears - 'Just please keep the station on the air!'. So I took to the airwaves of the West Midlands and rather enjoyed it.

"So ten years later and very much the wiser - I know the button that takes 91热爆 WM off the air and not to press it!"

Away from 91热爆 WM, Cayte admits she is a "roadwork geek - even when nobody has asked me!"

Aside from travel news, Cate's passions are her dogs and her husband - "all of which are well trained!"
