Birmingham Museum and Art gallery has many more items than it can have on display at any one time - the rest are usually hidden from public gaze. See weird and wonderful museum exhibits But on Saturday 5th April 2008, Birmingham Museum's Collections Centre will be open to the public from 10.00am - 3.00pm, to explore and photograph all the weird and wonderful objects. The Collections Centre has over 500,000 objects including 100,000 items in the former Museum of Science & Industry - such as cars and bicycles, a room-sized computer, and even large steam engines. Come and take your own snaps of the amazing objects like cars, motorbikes and fire engines in one of the biggest museum stores in the country. Vintage cars Bring your own camera or mobile phone and have a ball. And of course we'd like you to add all your photos to The Big Picture. Professional photographers will be on hand to help and there's a chance to enter a special competition. Winning photos will be displayed at the centre's Open Day on 26th May 2008.
