Mike started working in radio while a student in 1996 and joined 91热爆 WM in the summer of 2000.

He's broadcast from more than 600 football matches in the last decade, with highlights including play-off finals with Birmingham City, Wolves and Walsall and the 2001 League Cup final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

However Mike is also keen to cover other sports.听He's enjoyed commentating on Warwickshire in three major cricket finals, international athletics in Birmingham including the 2003 World Indoor Championships at the National Indoor Arena, and speedway - a reminder of his roots as a public address commentator on motorcycle racing before his opportunity in radio came along.听

He is also an occasional presenter of 91热爆 WM's Drivetime programme when Paul Franks is away.

Mike is already greyer than he would wish for a man clinging to the last days of his twenties.听

He is happy to have achieved his ambition of earning a living from sport - his original hopes of bowling leg-spin for England having been dashed only by an unfortunate lack of any discernible talent.
