Club Velocity - the big one

Club Velocity gig promoter Sid Siddle says it's the biggest gig he's put on so far - not because the venue has miraculously become stadium-size, but because of the musical goliaths he's got on the bill.

With the NME loving 'em and a single that's hotter than Vesuvius, it's only a matter of time before OK Tokyo reach the heady heights of pop stardom.

So it's simply is imperative you get your dose of the band described as 'ludicrously good' by the NME and have a must-buy single out now You Better Believe It, remixed by Rob from Does It Offend You, Yeah?.

Hell, even The Guardian have lavished praise on the band it describes as playing 'pyrotechnic power pop'.

OK Tokyo are evidently one of the hottest unsigned bands in the UK and on Saturday the band are returning to the gig night that gave them their first ever gig back in April 2007.

And with a month's residency at Ibiza Rocks this July, it could be a while before you see OK Tokyo play underneath the broody clouds of England again.

Other attractions on the night include Camden band The Bad Robots, who are playing in Reading for the first time, Kicks, and Club V faves Sixty Watt Bayonets.

Head to Plug 'n' Play studios in Milford Road at 8pm. Tickets are 拢5.
