BUBBALICIOUS

Reading label In-Ex Records have signed a bright new talented artist called Bubbalicious. Read a short biog below, listen to a sample of his music, and then have your say on him below.

Bubbalicious is a 26-year-old R'n'B artist who recently signed to In-Ex Records, home of Figure Of Speech.

Real name Ahmed Ali, Bubbalicious was born in Saudi Arabia and spent his childhood growing up in Newport, South Wales.

His inspiration to start writing and performing came out of a dark period in his life, as he explains:

"At the age of 18, I lost both of my parents, so I thought 'life is too short' and decided to make something out of myself while I had the chance.

What a logo eh!

He adds: "It's a big world and I believe you can be whatever you want to be if you put your mind to it.

"I discovered a talent which I never knew that I had there. I decided to go with music and music was my life, I dedicated my whole time to music - writing songs until the early hours of the morning."

Bubbalicious started off by going to a recording studio and learning the basics, hoping that he would eventually be able to lead to a successful record label.

His influences range far and wide, listening to Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie and Stevie Wonder as a child, while discovering LL Cool J, 2pac, B.I.G, Jay Z, Nas, The Game and 50 Cent as he grew older.

Bubbalicious, it's fair to say, doesn't do things by halves, and is evidently very ambitious, especially when he says: "My main goals in music are to be a successful artist, to become the number 1 British R'n'B selling artist and to win as many awards as I can get my hands on."
