The Falling Idols formed mid 2005, Tim answering a music shop window advert for a drummer. After a couple of rehearsals together, Tim introduced bass player Andy into the band. "...in lead singer/songwriter Shane Daunt they've got one of the best frontmen I've seen for a long time." | Kevin Allwood, Wot No Bones magazine |
All three band members have been in various bands since an early age. Tim toured the UK for eight months with his previous band Herbie while living in the back of a transit van, selling hot potatoes by day to scrape a living together.

Reviews Matt Dyson, 91Èȱ¬ Berkshire "Now this is a clean, unexpected hit. Like a midget leaping to chin Peter Crouch, the opening riff of I Am, I Can, I Will would have the most cynical giant applauding their nerve." Kevin Harrington, Josaka "Hell, even their drummer, Tim, can knock out a fair tune on an acoustic guitar. The Falling Idols are now on my list of bands to see fully-electric." Kevin Allwood, "wot no bones" magazine "...and in the lead singetr/songwriter, Shane Daunt, they've got one of the best frontmen I've seen for a long time. Not only can he sing, but he's one hell of a guitar player. My first impression was that he reminded me of a young Joe Strummer, such was his energy." |
