Did I really hear you complaining last Wednesday night about having to drive two hundred miles to Sheffield to watch such an awful Royals display? Isn't that what we pay you for matey? You should consider it an honour not a chore and if you don't want to do it any more step down and let another more enthusiastic presenter take over. Well done for asking some searching questions at last,during commentary you often make statements which you fail to deliver on when interviewing the manager.I thought B R was the man for the job at start of season but lost faith as it went on.There are now no key players that I can relate/warm to like Kitson,Doyle etc just a bunch of average.

I was pleased that the MP for Reading, Martyn Salter, text you following your interview with Brendan yesterday, in an attempt to put you in your place. I agree with him. Your questions/comments in the interview were pathetic. How on earth you could think that the performance against Scunthorpe was worse than the Palace game is impossible to comprehend. As Brendan suggested perhaps the football you see thro' your glasses is quite different from any of us who understand football. It was great to hear you reeling from Brendans other suggestion that his preparation for next weeks game at Bristol City, was to keep you well away from Hogwood Park. For you to subsequently claim that you thought Saturdays performance was worse because Scunthorpe were a much poorer side than Palace was another pathetice excuse for your ineptitude. Come on Tim, get real and grow up.

Reading will have done a very good job if they finish in 8th - 12th position this year. Am I one of the few to have accepted that ? - You wouldnt think so listening to comments on 91Èȱ¬ radio such as '' 2 wins and we'll be on the verge of the play-offs'' or - ''we're only 9 points off the playoffs''. ( verbatim Tues 08th Dec)As soon as we win Tim seems to think everything is sorted and we're at a turning point - only to revert to the 'rubbish' jibe when we lose. We're an inconsistent average side - this is how it is - accept it - move on ! Thet's push hard for mid table - once we're there we can - perhaps - muse over possible play off places.Ignore any rhetoric spouted by some of the players too - When it comes to the crunch...How many are really that bothered ? - ..would you be if you were guaranteed £3000 - £7000 per week for 3 years..irrospective of results ? - Our Chairman has clearly lost all enthusiasm for the club - This negativity is feeding down to the staff and players.

Hi Tim, as a regular attendee to Reading home games, I am very disappointed that having purchased my ticket for Blackpool back in October for £22.50, Reading were offering tickets on Monday for £15.I do not understand why they can't offer all supporters a discount,we really do need an incentive to go along at the moment.

TimI was in Egypt watching the Leicester televised game via some obscure Arabic Channel. For the first time this season though I could actually see the players numbers on their backs ( presumably at the request of Sky )...is there any reason why this slight amendment to their shirts cant be kept ?Loads of people around where I sit ( East Stand about 2/3rds way up) say they cant see the numbers and dont know who's playing ! - especially with all the new 'faces' - please can you put this comment forward to the powers that be at the club - many thanks = Russ

I am fed up with the comments from everyone about why is the club not spending money and that Sir Mad should go. Listening to Tim & Co after the game about where has the money gone? Well here it is from the 2008 report and accounts from Companies House:Turnover £51.5m (of which £33.7 from media and £11.1 from match day oh and Rugby £0.6m)Salary costs £31m ((including players whilst Sir Mad and Ian Wood-Smith took no salary)But here is the key point;Loses to be carried forward £17m (down from 23.8m as club made profit of £6.8m)Total creditors £59m (due within one yr £30.5m and after one year £28.5m)So with player sales of £12m and the reduction in wages that will reduce debt and salaries the reality is that a big fall in media income, still owe a lot of money.I work in finance and on the basis of the above without a Sir Mad behind the club and guarantees I would insist on form him I would not give this club more money. The reality is that without support Sir Mad we will have no club. Cub has to spend according to what it can afford. Why does everyone always expect Sir Mad to put his hand in his pocket and pay for everything? If the supports want more then pay more for the tickets – but let’s see we 16,000 on Saturday and season tickets have decline back to 11,000!

Hi Tim. As a Royals supporter since 62 I cannot say I am looking forward to the new season with much hope of promotion rather relegation.Having got rid of our best players slow once again in the transfer market we will proberly pick up some left overs some time in August.Players being mentioned ie Smith at Watford past his best been round the houses and back aged 29 ie no pace.Maybe we will have to rely on youngsters coming through.Do not hold out much hope on Mr Mad spending much of the money coming in. Hope by the end of season I have to eat my words.I doubt it.Regards Dan S.

TimI listen to Radio Berkshire regularly but recently it is more like Radio Reading FC. I accept that Reading are the local side but there are thousands of licence payers in Berkshire who do not support Reading and could not care whether Reading are promoted. It is one thing having the sports programmes dominated by Reading but now we have Reading FC shoved down our throats in every programme

Dear Tim and Mick I think that between us we can help Reading in their promotion hopes. Basically when Dave Kitson was playing for Reading and in top form we had a ginger cockerel called Kitson. However when Dave went to Stoke we eat him (the cockerel that is) I’m sure that if we got another ginger cockerel to go with our hens Dave will go on a scoring spree. What I really like is that, even though we all want Reading FC to succeed, you're still not afraid to ask tough questions (in most fans minds) such as Readings apparent lack of activity in the transfer market (no change from last season it seems!. I also liked the way you highlighted the players bust up v Forest, rather than ignoring it.
