Neophonics play a fusion of soul, funk, R&B, pop and jazz.

Each venue seems to attract many different kinds of audiences, no matter what the style of the night is, and this leads to difficulty in finding the perfect artists who know how to provide the right music, a selective fusion of genres that each and every audience member will enjoy. Neophonics feat. Janet Gabriel provides that additional spice, cultivating music from all over the world.

With influences from Africa, America and United Kingdom, Janet Gabriel brought to fruition a lifelong dream in Neophonics, cultivating a fusion of Jazz, Pop, R&B, Soul and Funk music to create a mood that every audience member can be a part of. Her influences have included the great Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker and Toni Braxton.

With an urban twist to the music, Janet Gabrielâ€™s upcoming album â€œThe Fire Withinâ€ features artists such as Melissa Wortman, Marco Andreose, Ian Fellows and Terry Finch â€“ all renowned artists in their own rights, forming the band Neophonics.

With a soulful and ripe voice filled with emotion and versatility, Janet is definitely no spring chicken when it comes to talent. With a wealth of experience in many bands and having performed many gigs, Neophonics proves to be another major success for her yet again.

Large performances of the band have been at Wakefield festival, POP and CafÃ© de Paris in London.

Listened to the MP3 files on Janet's site. They were really good. Not easy to tell what audience would ultimately make this style most competitive commercially. But that may be the unique strength....the different influences would probably give it a very broad appeal. Keep it up!!!
