With a strong Status Quo influence as well as Rory Gallagher and Motörhead, ±Ê°ù±ð»å²¹³Ùü°ù are guaranteed to rock your blocks off. They're also one of the longest-running bands in Reading, celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.

PREDATÃœR ARE:

  • Baz - lead guitars/vocals
  • Mick Hughes - lead guitars/vocals
  • Glen Potter - bass guitar
  • Simon Baker-  drums

This highly experienced group have been around since the eighties and were a major part of the ‘New Wave of British Heavy Metal’ scene in Reading. In fact, the band marks its 25th Anniversary in 2005.

The band formed back in the mid seventies, and were regulars at the legendary Target Club (situated underneath the Butts Shopping Centre) and the Top Rank in Reading, and at the Marquee Club in London pulling record crowds.

Their major musical influences include Rory Gallagher, Motörhead and Status Quo and they were most famous for their single Take A Walk / Seen You Here, which is now highly collectable fetching up to £100 a copy.

They have recently re-formed after a six year break with a new line-up, and in September 2004 recorded and released their long awaited first studio album ‘mean’. The album has been selling very well across UK and Europe and is gaining rave reviews.

"Dark night, country lanes End Of The Road blasted from the speakers, the shivers down my spine, the huge grin on my face, just kept driving around until the album finished." - album review

They had a great 2004, with numerous large gigs including a sell-out charity concert at the Rivermead complex – a repeat of their 1988 performance where they played the first rock concert ever to be held at Reading's newly built leisure centre in Richfield Avenue. Due to its success in fact, the organisers are planning to make it an annual event to promote local talent.

"It was the day that metal in its natural state returned to Reading…" - Josaka.com

2005 is set to be a memorable year in the bands history as they tour the country promoting their first album. Older, wiser and now with kids! They have only improved with age. Keep an eye out for them on the live circuit.

LIne up has changed but yes they are the most amazing band playing fantastic boogie. 2nd album being recording that promises to be even better than Mean. Go down a storm in Europe ...so why dont Reading Festival pickup on these local lads and give them a slot?

Joan
Proud to give the boys a warm welcome at their first Dutch gig in Halle, Holland at July 15. Have a look at www.zwartecross.nl and http://www.predatur.com/home.htm. Pay attention to that, OK? Greetz, Joan Zwolle, Holland
