The Book of Remembrance – Bath Abbey

The Book of Remembrance is a parchment book which records the names of every citizen of Bath killed in aerial raids or military service 1939-45. It was illuminated by Benjamin Maslen and dedicated at a special service on 30 September 1951. It is on permanent display in the Abbey's Gethsemane Chapel; where it is a reminder of the chapel's eternal themes of commemoration and reconciliation. The book can be examined in more detail on request.
