Objects of Vertu, Beckford's Tower

A set of three superb oil paintings depicting some of the many treasures owned by William Beckford while he lived in Bath. Beckford was one of the greatest collectors in Europe and the objects depicted in these paintings are stunning examples of design and craftsmanship. Beckford's immense wealth and exquisite taste enabled him to create such a collection and these painting are a wonderful record of how impressive it must have been when on display.
