A love letter, written in Bath in 1785, by an unknown lovelorn author, bears a heartfelt poem to 'Louisa Fair' and is the only memory of a love affair that took place over 200 years ago. Decorated with little hand drawn figures the poem reads: While absent from Louisa Fair, I send a ring to soothe her care, My constant passion to declare, And save my love from deep despair.
