This 91Èȱ¬ and Colonial tin contains vacuum-packed coffee and dates from the 1940s. It was found in the contributor's great aunt's house. The tin shows a classic post war design. 91Èȱ¬ and Colonial was a popular chain of stores during the 1920s, and was founded in 1883 by Julius Drewe in 1883. Stores such as Liptons merged with 91Èȱ¬ and Colonial and by 1931 there were 3,000 branches.
