This crown commemorates the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977. Queen Elizabeth II had been on the throne for 25 years. This was celebrated across the UK. Celebrations kicked off on 7 June in London. The Queen, speaking at the Corporation of London lunch at the Guildhall said: "I want to thank all those in Britain and the Commonwealth who through their loyalty and friendship have given me strength and encouragement during these last 25 years."
