Prince Charles Investiture Token

Contributed by Huw Daniel

Prince Charles Investiture Token

This token was given to all children in the Ogmore Valley by the now defunct Ogwr Borough Council (now Bridgend County Borough Council) on the occasion of the investiture of Prince Charles at Caernarvon castle.

The token was given at street parties held throughout the Ogmore Valley and this example is from the River Street party held, as was normal at that time in the centre of the street.
