I inherited the cap badge and watch from my grandfather who rescued an Austrian officer who was injured in the mountains. He carried the man down so he could be taken to hospital and was given the objects in thanks. The watch is inscribed "In Eiserner Zeit Gold Zur Wehr Eisen Zur Ehr"
