This work is part of the Hunterian Art Gallery's sculpture garden. A Scottish artist , Gavin Scobie is known for his architectural, atmospheric works in wood and metal. 'Noon' is an assemblage in steel comprised of six pieces that form a work full of movement and folds. This sculpture appears to be emerging from the ground, in an organic manner, yet it is created from industrial materials.
This object from the collection of the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery was selected by Shan MacDonald who created the Hunterian Art Gallery's Relic Challenge.
