This anvil was bought about ten years ago from an advert in the West Briton newspaper. It was painted white and used decoratively to display a garden gnome collection! There is an inscription 'Peter White' which could possibly help locate/date the anvil more accurately. It weighs 24 stone and has an iron base with hardened steel face. Tristan Kessell is a blacksmith. He uses the anvil to produce bespoke art pieces and practical tools and equipment. It was possibly made in a Cornish or Midlands foundry at least 250 years ago.
