The earliest motorcar manufactured in Bath is this Horstmann Light Car of 1914. Built at the James Street West works of the Horstmann Car Company this two seater is fitted with a kick starter and an aluminium chasis. The windscreen wiper is hand operated and there is no battery. The car was last driven in 1980 when it led the Lombard Motor Rally of that year down Great Pulteney Street.
