I came across this object in 1982 whilst double-digging the border in a new garden at Saxon Street, a small village near Newmarket. It was mesmerizing to discover that Stone Age men had trod the same ground thousands of years before me. Just how many thousands, I have no idea but would truly appreciate it if someone could give me an approximation. Having discovered it myself, it goes without saying that his is one of my most prized possessions.
